About us and fees

Nest in Essex was founded back in 2014 by Nick Cheshire. Nick is a local resident who has worked in this area all of his career. He was working for smaller independent agent but identified the market was moving forward and advancing with technology.

He wanted to focus on two things. The client experience and marketing. As the agency where he worked was not willing to evolve Nick decided to step out on his own and do it his way.

Fast forward 5 years, Nest in Essex is now a recognised and trusted brand, with over 100 five-star reviews (and thats just on google!)  and having helped hundred more move home Nest in Essex has made a huge impact on the local market.

Nest in Essex is made up by a team of 4 Agents, 1 Agent assistant and a social media superstar. A team that has taken 7 years to get together.

In the past 18 months Nest in Essex has collected several awards ranging from local awards like the British property awards, to regional and national awards.

Meet the team



Nick is the Founder of Nest in Essex, currently lives in Rayleigh and is a father to Triplet boys and a baby girl.


Partner Agent

Leanne is a partner agent having joined in 2019. Leanne currently lives in Benfleet with her husband, and two children.

Dan Joined the team in 2020 and currently lives in Leigh-on-sea with his partner and child


Agent Support

Karen is Nick's Mother-in-law and currently assists all the agent with admin support.

Baily joined the team in 2021, originally from America but now settled in Hockley with her Husband and baby boy.


Social Media Manager

Natasha is our social media coach, helping the team in getting the most out of social media marketing for our clients and keeping up to date with all the changes and improvements constantly happening in the social media arena. Natasha is the better half to Nick (the Founder).

Complete transparency

Transparency has always been an issue in the Estate Agency industry with many not displaying their fees for the general public to see. 

So we have decided to display our fees as part of our transparency policy so everyone can see what we charge, and what’s included. 

this means everyone gets the “special treatment”… 

We did consider running 2 separate packages however we felt one package that includes ‘everything’ meaning every single property get 100% effort no matter the size, price or location. 

The process is the same, the skills and strategy is the same, so the price should be the same too.
